In Photos: The Closing of Sharon’s Red Lentil

The restaurant Red Lentil once spiced up the Sharon Community. This highly-rated restaurant was fully vegetarian and vegan based, something Sharonites had not seen in that location before. The Sharon location closed in December, 2023, after about three years. This spot was the restaurant’s second location; it continues to operate in Watertown.

Before there was Red Lentil, there was The Square Kitchen & Bar. Having opened in December of 2018, the Square started out strong. Garnering mostly 5 star reviews, business was booming. However, COVID hit, and it closed in 2021.

Sharonites wonder what will be next in this prime downtown location. Some challenges facing businesses in this area are limited parking, zoning restrictions, and septic limitations.
