On Tuesday, March 25th, fifty participants from grades 6-12 joined Girls Who Code and the Web Development Club in the Sharon High School cafeteria to compete in a Hackathon. Over the course of the afternoon, programmers spent more than five hours creating projects that incorporated the “Climate Change” theme. From trivia sites to instructional games, the coders had a blast creating a variety of programs from scratch—literally! Multiple groups used Scratch Programming, but other platforms included Code.org and Replit.
